CHSav8r Webmail
Update! Get all the feature of gMail when you sign up for your CHSav8r email address. We are now using Google for our mail provider, but your address will still be firstname.lastname@chsav8r.com. Check it out!
Because hooters_luvr@yahoo.com isn't the greatest email address to pass out to potential clients or employers, Palmetto Flight Physicals has decided to offer an email account FREE OF CHARGE. The address scheme is firstname.lastname@chsav8r.com, which compliments the sound of any pilot's name. To request your free email, please fill out the "Request ID" form at right to begin processing your request.
To use CHSav8r webmail, please login via the form to the right after receiving your confirmation email using the following information:
Username: firstname.lastname | Password: changeme
After logging in, please change your default password (changeme).
Configure Outlook Express
Outlook Express is bundled with the Micsoft Office Suite. Follow the instructions below to download messages from the CHSav8r server to your local computer using this application.*
0. Enable POP in your gMail account:
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page.
- Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
- Select Enable POP for all mail or
Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on. - Choose the action you'd like your Gmail messages to take after they are accessed with POP.
- Click Save Changes.
1. Open Outlook and click "Tools" in the menu & click "Accounts".
2. In the "Internet Accounts" window, click on "Add", the click on "Mail".
3. When the "Internet Connection Wizard appears, fill in the desired values for "Display name:" and click "Next" at the bottom right.
4. Verify that the the circle next to "I already have an e-mail address that I'd like to use" is checked; enter your e-mail address in the "E-mail address:" field.

5. At the "E-mail Server Names" window, make sure the POP3 option is selected. In the "Incoming mail:" field, enter pop.gmail.com and in the "Outgoing mail:" field, enter "smtp.gmail.com". Click "Next".
6. Enter your e-mail ID into the "Account name:" and your password (default: changeme) in the "Password:" field and click next.

7. Just click Finish and you're done!
Outlook Express setup is now complete.
*Please note that mail settings can only be changed online.
Configure Mozilla Thunderbird
Thunderbird may be freely downloaded from here. After installation, follow the instructions below to download messages from the CHSav8r server to your local computer using this application.*
1. Open Thunderbird, click "Tools" in the menu & select "Account Settings".
2. In the "Account Settings" window, click on "Add Account".
3. When the "Account Wizard" window appears, select the "E-mail account" option, then click "Next".
4. Fill in the desired values for "Your Name:" and "E-mail Address:", then click "Next".

5. At the "Server Information" window, click the circle next to "POP". In the "Incoming mail:" field, enter pop.gmail.com and in the "Outgoing mail:" field, enter "smtp.gmail.com". Click "Next" to continue with setup.
6. Both the "Incoming User Name" and "Outgoing User Name" fields must contain your e-mail ID. If they do not, enter your e-mail ID in both fields, then click "Next".

7. The "Account Name" field should be filled with your e-mail address. The account name is used only to identify your acccount within Thunderbird. You may leave this value at it's default or change it. When ready, click "Next".
8. At the "Account Settings" window, review the account settings or accuracy. Use the "Back" button to return and correct any errors. When the settings are correct, click "Finish".
9. When prompted for a password, enter your webmail password. Thunderbird will remember this password in the future if the "Use password manager to remember this password" box is checked. Click OK to proceed.
Thunderbird setup is now complete.

Incoming Mail Server: pop3.gmail.com
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
*Outgoing mail server does require authentication.
Incoming Mail Port: 110 for POP3, 143 for IMAP
Outgoing Mail Port: Primary: 25 | Secondary: 26
E-Mail Username: firstname.lastname@chsav8r.com
E-Mail Password: changeme [DEFAULT; Should be changed]
